Diploma and Merit Awards Ceremony

On September 25th, ISVOUGA delivered course letters to 58 graduates from the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 academic years, as well as Merit Awards to 8 graduates.
The ceremony, which took place in the large auditorium of Europarque, was attended by graduates, their families and representatives of ISVOUGA, namely the Director of ISVOUGA, Prof. Dr. Adelina Portela, the President of the Pedagogical Council (Prof. Dr. Andreia Silva), the President of the Technical-Scientific Council (Prof. Doctor Nuno Loureiro). Representing the founding entity of ISVOUGA, Fundação Terras de Santa Maria da Feira, the President of the Board of Directors, Dr. Emídio Sousa, and other members of the Board of Directors, Executive Board and Board of Founders were present.
After the opening of the ceremony in which the last few months marked by the difficulties resulting from the Covid 19 pandemic period were evoked, the director highlighted the students’ ability to adapt and the support provided by the institution’s teachers and collaborators, who greatly contributed to this attitude of overcoming. . The ceremony continued with the delivery of course letters to the graduates present as well as the awarding of merit awards to the graduates who distinguished themselves in the different degrees. These were the Amorim, Colep, Filosoft, Santander Universidades and Wall Street English awards. The Amorim Prize was awarded to the best graduate of the Business Management degree in the 2018/2019 academic year, Norberto Xavier Santos e Silva and Filipe Alexandre de Sousa Lourenço, from the 2019/2020 academic year. The Colep Prize, awarded to Pedro Filipe Tavares da Silva Marques and Armando Manuel dos Anjos Martins, best graduates in Industrial Production Engineering in the academic year 2018/2019 and 2019/2020, respectively. The Filosoft Prize was awarded to Fátima Alexandra Pinho Ferreira, best graduate of the Accounting course in the 2019/2020 academic year. The Wall Street English Prize, awarded to Abel Marcelino Neves da Rocha, best student of the Degree in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations in the 2018/2019 academic year and Catarina Marinhas Flores in the 2019/2020 academic year. The Santander Universities Prize was awarded to Abel Marcelino Neves da Rocha, best graduate of the Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations course in the 2018/2019 academic year, Catarina Marinhas Flores, best graduate of the Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations course in the 2019 academic year /2020 and Liliana Daniela Jesus Andrade, Best Graduate of the Solicitors course in the 2019/2020 academic year.
The Mayor of Santa Maria da Feira and President of the Board of Directors of Fundação Terras de Santa Maria da Feira, Dr. Emídio Sousa, presided over the closing of the Ceremony, who congratulated the award-winning graduates who were recognized for the effort and commitment they made during their academic career and stated that this is the beginning of a new cycle for which they must be prepared. He congratulated the fact that ISVOUGA and the companies associated with it, promote and recognize merit within the academic community of the Santa Maria da Feira institution.
